Adding a New Task List

Task Lists provide a nice, organized way of grouping your tasks into logical units.  

  • Click on the blue New Task List button to begin creating "headings" or groups for organizing your tasks into appropriate buckets. 
  • After clicking the New Task List button, a New Task List overlay window will open, allowing you to add a single task list name or multiple task list names. 

Note: This overlay defaults to adding a single task list name, however, by clicking the Multiple button in the upper right corner, you are able to add multiple task list names at one time.

Adding New Tasks

Once you have a list created, you can begin adding tasks to your list(s).  

Adding a Single Task

Begin by clicking on the New Task button to the right of the New Task List button at the top right of the screen.  

After clicking the New Task button, a New Task overlay window will open, allowing you to add a single task or multiple tasks.  

Note: This overlay defaults to adding a single task, however, by clicking the Multiple button in the upper right corner, you are able to add multiple tasks at one time.

  1. Name:  Create a Name for your task.
  2. Description:  Add a Description to provide clarification.
  3. When is it due?  Set a Due Date. From below the date field, you can select Tomorrow, Next Week, In a Month, Next Year, or click in the field to obtain a calendar date-picker.
  4. Tasklist:  Select the tasklist for the new task.
  5. Assignee:  Select the Assignee for the task.
  6. Share with client?  Toggle on whether to share with the client. (Default is No.) -- Note: You will not see this option within Deals.
  7. Update news feed?  Toggle on whether to update the news feed with this new task.  (Default is Yes.)
  8. Click on the Create Task button at the bottom right to create your task.

Adding Multiple Tasks

Begin by clicking on the New Task button to the right of the New Task List button at the top right of the screen.  After clicking the New Task button, a New Task overlay window will open, allowing you to add a single task or multiple tasks.

  1. Click on the Multiple button at the top right.
  2. List of Tasks:  Add a task for each line.  
  3. Tasklist:  Select the tasklist for the new set of tasks.
  4. Update news feed?  Toggle on whether to update the news feed with this new task.  (Default is Yes.)
  5. Click on the Create Tasks button at the bottom right to create your tasks.

Note:  If you wish to add an assignee and due date to your multiple tasks, just separate them with a | character.  Example: Call John about project.| Jack Sparrow | 12/12/2016

Adding a Single Task to an Existing Task List

Once you have created one of more task lists, you will see the Add Task button underneath each list.

To add your task:

  1. Click on the Add Task button to open up three new fields within the same window.
  2. Name: Enter the name of the task
  3. Assignee:  Select the assignee for this task. (Optional)
  4. Due Date: Click in the field to obtain a calendar/date-picker.  (Optional)
  5. Click the blue Add button to add your task. 
  6. As validation, a green bar will appear across the top of the window letting you know: "Nice Work! Your task was created."
  7. Continue to add tasks and/or task lists to this deal as necessary.
