Within Fuseboard, you have the ability to upload and attach files, add links, or create notes to any deal, project, ticket, contact, company or space. Each area allows you to add external information or add notes (along with comments to those notes) that will help you in managing your specific business details.  These resources can be for internal use only or can be shared with your clients.

Adding Resources

From within any deal, project, ticket, contact, company or space, click on the Resources tab to view existing resources that you have already added, or to add new resources.

To add a new resource, as shown above:

  1. Click on the New button to the right of the page.
  2. Select whether to add a file, link or note.

Adding a File

After selecting to add a file from the New menu, as described above, the New File overlay window will open, displaying the Add to field containing the related item (deal, project, ticket, space, company, or contact) and allowing you to choose the source of the file you plan to add:

  • Computer
  • Dropbox
  • Google Drive

From your Computer

  1. On the New File overlay window, select Computer for your source and browse for your file.
  2. Once the file is selected, the Title field will be populated with the name of your file
  3. You can select whether to share with your client. 
  4. You are able to add a description of the uploaded file, as well as update the news feed for this item.
  5. Click the Attach File button to finish your uploading of the resource selected.

From Dropbox

Along with adding files from your computer or Google Drive, you can link to your Dropbox files. Whether you’re working on a deal or project, or just updating a contact, you can effortlessly attach your Dropbox files.

Attaching Dropbox files is easy. Simply go to any deal, project, ticket, contact, company, or space and select to add a file from the New menu, as described above. The New File overlay window will open, displaying the Add to field containing the related item (deal, project, ticket, space, company, or contact) and allowing you to choose the source of the file you plan to add:

  1. On the New File overlay window, select Dropbox for your source.
  2. In the new window, enter your Dropbox login
  3. Select the desired file to attach and click Choose.
  4. Once the file is selected, the Title field in the New File overlay will be populated with the name of your file.
  5. You can select whether to share with your client. 
  6. You are able to add a description of the uploaded file, as well as update the news feed for this item.
  7. Click the Attach File button to finish your uploading of the resource selected.

From Google Drive

Along with adding files from your computer or Dropbox, you can link to your Google Drive. Whether you’re working on a deal, project or just updating a contact, you can effortlessly attach your Google Drive files.

Attaching Google Drive items is a snap. Simply go to any deal, project, ticket, contact, company, or space and select to add a file from the New menu, as described above. The New File overlay window will open, displaying the Add to field containing the related item (deal, project, ticket, space, company, or contact) and allowing you to choose the source of the file you plan to add:

  1. On the New File overlay window, select Google Drive for your source.
  2. In the new window, enter your Google Drive login
  3. Select the desired file to attach and click Select.
  4. Once the file is selected, the Title field in the New File overlay will be populated with the name of your file.
  5. You can select whether to share with your client. 
  6. You are able to add a description of the uploaded file, as well as update the news feed for this item.
  7. Click the Attach File button to finish your uploading of the resource selected.

Adding a Link

You can provide links to additional resources that might be useful in managing projects, deals, or tickets, or might provide good background information for companies or contacts.  

After selecting to add a link from the New menu, as described above, the New Link overlay window will open, displaying the Add to field containing the related item (deal, project, ticket, space, company, or contact) and other fields for data entry.

  1. On the New Link window, enter a Title for your web resource.
  2. Type or paste the URL/web address into the Link Address field.
  3. You can select whether to share with your client. 
  4. You are able to add a description of the link, as well as update the news feed for this item.
  5. Click the Create Link button to finish adding the web resource to your item.

Adding a Note

You can also add notes ad hoc or copy and paste notes from other sources into the resources area for any deal, project, ticket, contact, company or space.

After selecting to add a note from the New menu, as described above, the New Note overlay window will open, displaying the Add to field containing the related item (deal, project, ticket, space, company, or contact) and other fields for data entry.

  1. On the New Note window, enter a Title for your note.
  2. You can select whether to share your note with your client. 
  3. You are able to select the option to update the news feed for this item.
  4. Click the Create Link button to begin adding your note. 
  1. Begin adding your notes into the editor window.  This can be done by typing or copying and pasting from another document or program.  
  2. Note that this editor (similar to Google Docs and Microsoft OneNote) automatically saves what you are entering into the editor. You can click your back button or navigation in the Sidebar to exit from this editor.

Once you have created your note, you (or other members of your deal, project, ticket, contact, company or space) can make additions or updates to your original note.  

  1. Click on the original note on the Resource tab of the item (deal, project, ticket, contact, company or space) to open the side overlay where you can enter a comment or attach a file.
  2. There are three options for editing your note:
  • Edit the Original Note by clicking on the Edit Note (pencil).
  • Expand to a full page view of the note (not in edit mode) where you can view the full note and/or enter a comment and/or attach a file.
  • Delete the note by clicking on the trashcan icon.

   3. Add a comment or a file. You have the ability to enter a comment from the side overlay, as well as attach a file from your computer, Google Docs, or Dropbox.
